Nice score and glad the Phaeton stayed in the family. Keep us updated on both builds.

    Hey Chris
I may be behind the times, but did you get the 32 roadster pieced together, got any pics of it too.
PS: The roadster looks killer, great score dude.

Boy Ron has some money I should call him up and sell him some stuff. ;) Glad to see you got that roadster that is alot neater than a phaeton. I am jealous.

Just to keep the controversy going, put in my vote for having this one with fenders. I just don't think the '33/'34's have the lines to take the fenders off and have a "complete" look like the '32's and earlier.

I disagree. Here is my friend Rory Forbes just finished 34 roadster. Care to reconsider that statement Frank? Looks pretty "complete" to me. I'm just saying.. Nice score Chris. Here's my vote.

I'm happy for your dad, hahaha because I think that Phaeton is killer, I'd like to own something with more seating in the future. If it's going to be in the 30's it'd be a phaeton, for sure. Is that roadster more rare or something? Is that why it's more desirable?

I do think it's cool that the phaeton stayed in the family as well as scoring another really cool project... this is in a LOT better shaper than that coupe, for sure.

  22. When putting it together use steel rather than wood, make it safer for your family. Why take the gamble of it crumbling in an accident?
Is an awesome score though I'm stuck on the fence, I like both fender less and fully fendered......

    Doc.

  23. Wow, that's awesome...

If he swaps this for a steel 3 window I'll join you....;):D:)

    Cheers,

good idea, But wouldn't that mean only the waist down would be uncrumbled?

  26. Awesome...

I used to not really care for the larger '33-4 models... but the more I see done "right" the more I REALLY like them... even more than the '32 model...

    Keep us posted!

    Yeah, that's neat but it's not like it's a 3W or anything. ;)

Another good score for Chris Swindleson...I mean Swenson.

That channeled Rory Forbes car makes my sticker peck out. Going fenderless certainly doesn't as much as the alternative.

I think everyone who says that it should have fenders should be obligated to pitch in for a set and a pair of running boards. I mean it's not like they're expensive or anything...
