Turning Back The Clock: Speedometer Resetting

    So say you build a car with a rear end from car A, a ****** from car B, an engine from car C, a frame from car D and a speedometer from car E. Each component had a different number of miles on it. Oh, yes, let's throw in a brand new front axle with 0 miles on it.

    Even if you knew the miles on each piece, what should the odometer be set at? The law does not anticipate that problem. It ends up being a problem of semantics and, therefore, ethics (in terms of how you present the vehicle going forward).
