i did my research here on lowering my 51 chevy. 3" blocks and 2 coils cut out of the front seemed to be the way to go. now i'm ready to drop it and see that i will lose alot of turning radius when i do. is this something everyone deals with on these cars? it sure would **** grinding new tires while making a sharp turn. i just might make it a tail dragger.

I have 3" blocks and 1.5" coils cut on my 51, I've done a couple of "U's" and have not rubbed on the fender yet..

I had a 51 Chevy with a 2 in dropped spindle and 2 inches out of the spring and the wheel hot the fender. I got a new front rim with a offset that moved it in about an inch and it worked like a champ. Drove it all the way to VLV10 with no trouble.
