This car is sweet!!! Don't do anything that can't be undone to the way it is right now, if that makes any sense?
I'm not a big fan of the white walls, they kind of go on the cruiser type car. and I would go with some type of caps, maybe not the full caps but some small caps. borrow or beg some small ones just to see what it looks like. This is what happens when you get such a nice car, you sweat all of the little details, I'm just trying to get my ch***ie done. Great looking car no matter what you do with the wheels!
????????????????? How can a ride that was done in the late 50's or 60s, be more correct than how it was done in the 50's or 60's???? HellRaiser
If you want to get technical, get rid of the later hubcaps, alternator, Superbell axle and unilug wheels. Any other questions? With that said, it is a really cool car and I wouldnt change anything other than the hubcaps and maybe the genny. The unilug wheels and superbell axle are superficial here. The car has a great early East Coast look and I wouldnt change much at all.
Overall, I really like this car, as I've said in other posts. If it were mine, I'd put some cool caps on it and switch the shifter for something more stock/modest. I don't get why people say things like "last modified in the 50s" when there are obvious signs that's not true. What did that seller have to gain? That statement wouldn't add any value to me, as a buyer. However, it's a *****en little hot rod and I'd be happy to own it.
Try this for your post about your new car...... I just bought this really great 31 roadster that appears to have been put together back in the 50's or 60's. I think I'll just add some of MY touches, and keep it in the traditional looking manner. I'll Probably do some things to it to bring up the safety level a bit You're welcome!!!! HellRaiser That is a good looking ride you've got there.......
It looks like its been touched up bit in the early 70's from what you guys and I'm researching too the hub caps where from a Cadillac from 71-72
