I know I disliked the hubcaps, but they serve a race car alot better, it's not the time frame thats wrong.

But these are a 10 times better!

These new caps look great, I think if anyone wants to run Moon disc covers, it needs to be the screw on attachment and not the snap on. The snap on style never looks right.

This car is so bad***, no matter what caps are on it.. I like them all, but especially the 57 plymouths.

There are a lot of similarities, I but that the magazine was from the 50s so if it is the same car it would be amazing if no changes were made in all of those years.

I'd go back to the '40 wheel if I was you. I think it's a nicer looking wheel, not to mention that it matches up to the bell on the column, like this one does not.
And without the cord on it.

    Cool little car.

Not to worry, you are a good caretaker of an old build..

....and you now have a steering wheel puller in case you want to try another style :)

My PC is stalling so I can't go through all the pages, did you ever try the plain Jane 55 or 56 Olds covers without the spinner?

Mag pic is cool but a 28-29 yours is a 30-31 body. Both look cool.

As far as the steering wheel matching the 'bell' of the column, they used to sell a bell that goes under the steering wheel as part of the horn ****on kits. You could always fab something even if it has a squared edge where the 'flat' meets the outer radius. Think like a tuna can upside down. Then paint to match column.

I like your style man. It's fun to switch it up...keeps things interesting.
I've always monkeyed with little stuff on my cabriolet...rock it for a few months and when I get bored try something new again. JohnnyA

  16. Amen Volvobrynk. I'm a grumpy poorboy with a goin' nowhere basket case (just qualifying);

Lose the radiator hoses for 50's clamps and maybe plug wire clamps
I'd also extruded aluminize the firewall with an edge bead
'54 Ford caps or the groovy seventies for kicks
    generator maybe
    The moon caps -no

I'd tread lightly with this baby blue beauty- new parts can look weird

Crazy good. cool 911 too BTW.

These are the tires that came of the coupe that I'll use for the roadster. It's great when there are carryover parts

Lookin' REAL good.. You may remember a year or two ago, a guy in a white SUV followed you home after spotting you on 620 and chatted a bit with you. I'm coming along with my baby, too. Am at the stage that the interior is being developed, but still lots to do to get her on the road.... check it out...You aughta drop by sometime soon...
