My ****** leaks where this cable enters the case. Does this cable just pull out so i can replace the 2 o rings? Thanks ****
Yes, it has a little offset hook on the end so you can disconnect it from the trans internals, then replace the sleeve and o-ring.
comes right out , usually held in with one small screw. then pull the outer up to expose the inner cable were it hooks to a small bent wire
The easy way is to unhook it from carb unbolt it from ****** then pull it up and use some needle nose vice grips to hold the the wire that goes in the ****** up so you can unhook the the cable from the wire.
thanks guys, i still can't believe this place. ask a question and 15 minutes later 4-5 guys give you a detailed answer. unbelievable. thanks
You think you have a leak,,I got in such a hurry when I was building my 1939 convertible I forgot to hook up the cable.. imagine driving down the road with a hole in the transmission. I didn't take log to figure out my problem..transmission fluid everywhere. HRP
