I hope they changed the frame as the fenders and hood will not fit the way the frame is mounted. I owned it for near 20 years.

Andy is my mentor and hero with my own channelled roadster and a Red Ram like Andy's. My RRRoadster would not be in existence without Andy's guidance... I saw Tweety in Andy's garage.

I don't think they figured it out. The hood sides are taper sectioned because the front of the frame came out square with the firewall. Look at the gap between the frame and the bottom of the hood side at the firewall. Notice that the forward loovers are longer than the back ones. 4AB747AD-FBEE-432C-BB0E-055DFD1CE94D.jpeg

So by saying it doesn’t fit, your referring to this gap at the bottom of the back of the hood side? Between the hood and the frame? DC137195-02B7-4BDA-93CB-B5E79E34BEA0.jpeg

The frame was mounted to the body at an angle. I shoud know. I took it apart. There were stacks of washers and nuts and pipe fittings at the wheel well which proped the back of the frame up and angled the front down. The frame is now mounted flat to the body. One of the genius styling tricks was to angle the front fenders down. It made the car more aggressive and faster looking. It will look different with the fenders angled up.
At this point, I would pie cut the frame at the firewall.
This is my fourth post on the subject.

Yup you’ve posted 4 times on this thread.

So your saying if the body isn’t mounted on the frame with taller mounts in the back, in fact shimming it higher, the rest of the forward sheetmetal won’t align correctly.

And if you were to approach this instead of putting taller mounts in the back you’d modify the frame.
