Almost forgot to mention—I had the 8" housing and buggy spring powder coated. A friend helped clean up some of the welds on the housing, and I also had a driveline shop check to make sure it was straight. For anyone in Edmonton looking for top-notch powder coating, I highly recommend Joanne at Perfection Powdercoating. Amazing service and excellent quality!

Probably over thinking things but looking towards breaking in this comp cams 262H hydraulic flat tappet cam. Figure I'll break in the cam with an Edelbrock 1406 & C4B intake. Hoping to enjoy the shakedown drives with an easily tunable 4bbl. Will give me some time to go through the 3 Ford 94's (which I know nothing about their history) later this year. Picked up this AWESOME air cleaner from Geardrive (Matt). This was one from his first production batch

Stopped by the shop and took a few update photos. Exciting to see the doors back on it.(11/15/24)

Still a bit of work to go on the doors... Also had to fabricate a pair of latch rods for the inside door handles. Does anybody know why these are sold out globally?

(12/13/2024) Added a small notch to the rear wheel panels.

Looks great! Very orderly and clean! If you don’t mind me asking, what is the diameter of that engine fan and what was the original application? Thanks

Thank you!! @Kevin Ardinger the fan is an Allstar Performance 15" mechanical. I could probably fit a 17" but it'll be a tight fit to the lower radiator hose. Likely end up running a 16"

Cleaned up the old Edelbrock C4B intake and decided to paint it to match the engine color.
    20250124_135549.jpg 20250124_135559.jpg

Everything was looking great up until this point ... This is on me. The fit was too tight, and I knew it. I did my best to sand off the chrome plating where it would be installed and even froze the filler tube overnight. Now, I’m searching for a good aluminum welder in the area—really hoping it can be saved!

There’s always a backup plan... If it was good enough for GM, I’m sure it’ll work for what I need! Plus its the original. That counts as "traditional" right? :p Just need a spread bore to square bore carburetor adapter.

Some time spent in the blasting cabinet and its beginning to take shape. I'll get some paint on it soon.

Over at the body shop, the Jus Cuz crew is moving it along getting the grille shell mocked up in its final position.

Thanks, @mad mikey That means a lot coming from the guy with one of the most BADASS coupes on the HAMB. Seriously, man—your car is pure inspiration!

Wish you were closer. That's an easy manifold fix.

I did manage to get the C4B repaired—turned out to be a simple fix. Ended up keeping the original intake but first drilled, tapped and plugged the “hot slot” ports. Pretty happy with how it came out!

Meanwhile over at Jus Cuz things are progressing and the Coupe is finally wearing her first color...

Can’t forget about the steering wheel... I hadn’t planned to focus on the interior just yet, but it’s starting to creep up the list whether I like it or not. A close eye might catch a glimpse of what is soon to come ;)

Scored a set of seat brackets at the junkyard that allow the bench fold all the way forward! It'll be nice to use that space behind the seat and up against the bulkhead. The recline bracket could use some attention ... I’ve also been hanging on to this ’32 door handle for a while now… It found its home!

Also fabbed up a seat riser to cover the sliders. It will get carpeted when I do the interior.

Here’s a sneak peek of the interior materials. I’m still on the fence about a few details, but it’ll definitely tie in with the car’s overall theme! Planning to incorporate an original era-correct pattern into the seat. So many choices!

If it puts smiles on faces, that’s a win in my book :D Couldn’t have asked for a better crew to work with — the team at Jus Cuz knocked it outta the park (many missing in the photo)!
