an au****ius time too,the Chinese lunar new year is about to begin the year of the rat,may it bring you luck.Kunghi fatchoy!
Hardly seems possible it's been almost 6 years since I signed up. Time sure flies when your having fun. If the Journal is anything like my life, the best is yet to come. Nothing can compare with my teenage years (except all of the ones since ). Ryan, you've done a good thing, keep doing it. Frank
Congratulations Ryan! 12 years ago I was in college... - people thought a 56k modem was fast - I can distinctly remember a manager of a telephone company telling some of us young engineers that the Internet was a fad.....(really) - College campuses and phone companies were about the only places that had decent bandwidth to the 'net - and I remember one of our professors telling us that ******* had a website. (I dunno, that may have been as early as '93 or '94 when they fired it up....can't remember, but we were jacked)
I lurked a couple of years and have been a member for a year and only regret that I did not participate during those early years...CONGRATZ,MAN!!
Is that the Jalopy Journal? or the HAMB? Or both? Is there anyone here that has been on the HAMB since the beginning? I think I logged on in '99... I just remember being able to click on people's e-mail addresses (I think it was) and reading funny messages! Anyone remember that? Early on I remember Dr. J, Jason and McPhail... and some others... Dr.Chop, Sam.
Happy BD to the Journal, and thanks for all you do Ryan (and the unseen others). For the short time that I've been on board, it has been one heck of a ride! Patrick
I just registered two weeks ago. You mean I missed 12 years of this cool stuff? I feel so out of it. To quote George Gobel, "Have you ever felt like the world was a tuxedo, and you were a pair of brown shoes?" I'll just have to stick around for the next 12 years. The 13th year should be fabulous -13 is Lucky in my family. Thanks for a great site, Ryan. I love car history, and this place is full of it.
HAPPY 12 Ryan, amd good luck for many more to come... a great place to hang out...priceless to me!!!changed my life !!! you're DA man....sled
**** DISCLAIMER from the great state of IOWA **** Not all of us Iowa-egians are fans of the "Totally Tubular" genre, nor that Hannah Rosanna Montana Danna thing! Had to do that alchemy! Man, lay off the reducer when your in the paint booth buddy! Wow, hard to believe that the HAMB is only 12! Seems like a lot older, cuz it's so well represented and ran like a top-notch shop! I'm glad to be a member, even if I'm an FNG at this point. Ryan, yer doing a fantastic job juggling all that you have been over the years, and THEN you went and started the JockeyJournal and GarageJournal too? Man, you sir, are a SADIST! How do you sleep at night with all the stuff you got going on? Never have let the board down since I been coming here to lurk, then post. Keep it going, it can only get better!
Congratulations Ryan. 12 years ago I was living in Japan and had just finnished building my '47 Harley bobber. I'd hardly used a computer, let alone "surfed the net" and found the HAMB. Now with a family and very limited time, the J.J. is my guide to the HAMB, bringing my attention to whatever you wish to highlite. Cheers to lucky 13.
Congrats Ryan, this Is A Bad*** Site. You Know Your Doing A Service Here, Alot Of These Freaks Would Probably Be In Prison If It Wasnt For The Journal.
Congrats on the twelve years, I beleive I can speak for most everyone and say thank you very, very much.
Happy 12th Birthday! Geez, where has the time gone? Time for a HAMB Bar-Mitzvah next year! What's next? Loss of virginity and graduation.... college.....
As soon as I can, after surgery, I just Know I'll crawl in here to log on to the HAMB. Thanks for giving us the Worldwide Garage Party, Ryan. Chili Phil
Ryan, You know, if I'm not working on the car, I'm either napping or looking up what's new on the HAMB. The car mags. have been put in there propper place next to the throne, glad I don't have a lap top, I'd read it in there too. Happy birthday and thanks for a fantastic site, and for you and our buddy in paso robles for "making" me stop lurking and become a HAMDer! Thanks OLY The cancer car lives Give to cancer research
Congrat's man! 12 years is a great achievement. Just being on here 6 and a bit, this site has really shown how this scene can be shared globally and the friendship that will last a lifetime. Thanx. Cruisin'
