Event Coverage Twenty sixteen, you suck!

Happy new year Hambers.
It's just hit 12 o'clock down here, the fireworks are lighting up the sky, the drunks are kissing and hugging, and everyone's excited to see 2016 gone, and see 2017 in.

I know this is a little early for the Northern hemisphere, but hey, it's 2017 down here, so, Happy New Year.

Let's have a great year, with lots of old time Hot Rod activity.

Now comes the challenging part----writing 2017 instead of 2016! Usually takes me a month to get used to writing the new year number down!

I was just down in New Zealand for the first time back in September. What a gorgeous country. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Happiest of New Years to you guys and gals too!

 

Thanks guys, I ended up watching The new movie, 'The magnificent seven' untill around 3.30.
It was a mostly quite night, due to a little rain, but the neighbors managed to let a few fireworks off.
It's ten am, and I'm having a lazy start to the day.
The wireless news says it was a quite night nation wide, with only eight people arrested in the capital, Wellington.

I guess it's close to midnight in the Northern hemisphere now, so have a safe one.

I'm usually good for the first 2 or 3 weeks then lose it but I don't really white dates anymore. I don't write checks and I don't have to date any paperwork anymore.

Not me, I been awake for a few hours now.
No alcohol last night helps with that.
I'm ready to go, ready for some car action, although once the kid heads out, I will probably end up finishing up some painting work for my sparky.

 

The only "car action" here today will be shovelling the driveway for the umpteenth time...

As I sit here in the comfort of my house at the end of 2016, and reflect on years past, yes many have been better. However, I look forward to the chance that 2017 is better, not only for me , but all of us. We have a special bond here on the HAMB, and NO ONE can really take that away. And on a positive note, anybody that wants to line up with my old hot rod and race may be in for butt beating... LOL
