    We are old man....

Everyone of us needs to be pushing as many young people as we can... not necessarily to the HAMB (though that would be rad)... but to traditional cars. Shit's gonna die if we don't.

Me too. I was innocently asking a question about some 320'' Buick I got in a trade, & one hit - I'm hooked for life.

    Congratulations to you Paul.
Thanks to Ryan for having the foresight and patience,to keep this incredible website alive!

  5. Lucky number 13 for me.

But 20 years? Wow! D'you guys ever stop to think that the cars that were brand new when some of you guys joined are all now eligible for classic car plates in most states? :D:p

But yeah... we're all old. :(

Agreed 100%! My two teenage boys also have old cars and they influence their friends with them as well.

It always amazes me the huge number of OGs that are still active here 20 years later.

    Congratulations.

20-1/2 years for me. Some restorer guys on another forum were dissin' the HAMB, so I decided to take a look. Been here every day since. Thank you Ryan for helping me through retirement and convalescent through several major surgeries.
No idea where the times gone, but it's been a great ride!

Going to the Pileup is how I found The HAMB. I googled "Chrome Czars soon after buying my first computer. Their website listed The HAMB in the links section. Unfortunately, I missed the first Pileup. Made it to the second, though.

Next January will be 18 years for me. Kinda miss the classifications such as "Grenade Inspector". LOL!

I came in at the second HAMB Drags, however long that was. I miss seeing some of the old names.

Speaking of old I think I joined when I was around 16? Turning 40 in a couple months!

  22. Holding the mouse on your name says you are member nr 10 . Must have been a rather quiet place back in 2001.

  23. I hit one year back around march, when I first thought about saving a '37 Chevy frame, front clip and drivetrain in a junkyard, which i can see now would have been entirely too much of a project for a newbie, I might go back for it sometime in the future (its not going anywhere) but I will need a lot more skill to get it to live. Instead I opted for the '57 ford that i have now. one day I hope to be on the forum for just as long as many members here, keeping the hobby of hot rodding aswell as the HAMB going for future generations.

  25. Those are all new numbers after one of the board upgrades. You just got tagged with a number as you logged back in which I believe was late evening that time, #16 ( I was just the 16th person to log into the new format) here even though there were folks going back several years before many of us. Ryan, Killer Junebug, Sancho? etc....

I was trying to remember. It seems like I found the hamb about 1999-2000. I know it was after 1997, because I was working at the Air Force base and we had to log into the hamb using a hot rod buddies computer in the purchasing area.

What year did Steve and Mud get banned?

that was a fun little exercise,
probably should have kept that engine
oh well, can't keep them all.

    i pulled that video
after a rash of negative comments about running it without a radiator,
like id been running it steady for the eight years it was up..
    i hate trolls.

i may repost it as unlisted
and replace the link in that thread.
i know everybody here can see it only ran for less than one minute. jheesh
