You guys probably saw the chopped, channeled and sectioned 32 in an earlier post this week, but I got another one yesterday.
Here are a few pics of them.
I was trying to buy the sectioned one for 25 yrs and the chopped one for 8, I guess the "Deuce Gods" are liking me this week.
I have to go now, we are sacrificing a Chevy to see if we can keep the gods happy.

Sorry Chris, I had to buy it.......

That one is pretty good also... you are living up to your screen name. :)

Just a guess on the taillight holes? ... upside down Maverick?

  7. Wow Kelly, they are looking down on you and smiling! That sectioned Tudor looks better than I would have imagined - where were the two of these stashed?

Hey, you don't happen to have a phaeton cowl top or B pillars laying around in amongst all your spares do you :D ??

I think that gas tank filler indent area is from a 78 AMC Concord. A friend of mine used one on his 33 gas tank cover, back in 78. He cut it out of a brand new prototype body.

You should go and buy a couple of LOTTERY tickets you lucky dog. :D :D

    Seriously, CONGRATULATIONS

A good many folks think that LUCK is a big part of having a stash of 32 Ford stuff but you and I both know a large per centage of it is determination and persistance :)

Obsession is the word for what it takes!
My brain locked into deuce obsession at 12 or 13, when I found the first big issue of R&C and read the cover article...
I guess I did find the R&C by luck, though.

OK, there's the date. I would be 13 in September...
Already immersed in early Fords, as the family car was a '48 Ford...

My deuce immersion: A year or so before, I had managed to swing the funding for a copy of HRM in Panama. I was fascinated, but not inspired...I think I hit an issue with no great early Fords in it, will have to figgerout what it was.
Then I found the R&C on a rack somewhere in the deep south, as we stopped for gas. The quarter was big bucks for me then, and I may have needed some negotiation with the parents. Their fault, anyway, for dragging me around the world in an early Ford.
I thought the cover car was pretty cool, but then I got in and read the features, and that black one, almost lost on the cover, set the hook in me permanently.
By the way, I think the cover car was for sale in the same issue, a little over $2,000.
My allowance was boosted to a dollar a week soon after this, but I just couldn't get the funding saved up in time...

Well, now that we're taking a stroll down memory lane....... my first exposure to deuces was when my uncle gave me several old (60's) Hot Rod and R & C mags when I was a punk kid. I'm only a mere 51 now b.t.w. The term deuce seemed like it was on every page. From the age of 10 or so on, I was half-heartedly looking for one. "It" happened when I was 23!!!!!!!

    Nice score Kelly........... as usual.
