I wonder how that stacks up against the interest on the $10 savings bonds a lot of people buy and save through out their life?

Well, I'll just repeat what others have alreadty said, "Holy ****!" Although I am sorry old Jaybird has gone on to his next adventure, I must say that while he was here he sure did know something about having a good pile of stuff to surround himself with.

By the bye, it's always comforting to know that someone has, or in Jaybird's case had, a garage that was in as much disarray as mine. I swear that when I get back home from Florida I've got to do something about that before you guys are reading about someone "finding" all my stuff and sending it down the road!!!

What an amazing find. I really hope both of these cars find a home where the owner/builder has a plan beyond making them look like fibergl*** 1-800 cars.

Absolutly amazing!!! Like winning the lotto..but better..

  26. The Lady did very well, Dan, Josh's dad is one stand up guy and appraised the cars for what they were worth.

Does go to show you the stuff is still out there.

An original 3 window is sitting 1/2 mile from my house, may be the same story some day.

    Mad,

No yelling, however the original post states that an appraisal was done........ did you miss reading that? Are you implying that the appraisal was not accurate or truthful? There is a hell of a price difference between a deal made for "maybe all the parts are there", its all a gamble to figure it out. The cost for professionals to sort, ***embly, clean up, clear the ***les, ship to auction and pay the commission would have made how much of a difference at $50-65 per hour?
