Two basic, dumb questions

    Not a silly question but a lot of smart ***ed answers from the usual suspects.

    There probably isn't an exact way of figuring the capacity of that cooling system until you fill it the first time. Do this, get a couple of gallons of antifreeze and mix those 50/50 with water. I usually save an empty jug, pour half a jug of antifreeze into it and then fill both with water to make two gallons of 50/50 mix. You get screwed when you get lazy and buy the pre mixed stuff.

    As for the trans fluid, If you haven't added any I'd spend the ten bucks and change the filter and gasket now and then put in about four quarts and start it up and add a quart or two at a time until I got it up to the mark. Again there is no way a guy can figure out how much to add any other way except when he has started with a totally dry system and knows exactly what it should hold.

    I didn't see the brake fluid thing except the answer but that sounds about right. usually I use about a quart to bleed a set of brakes maybe a bit more or less but I only buy brake fluid in quarts for home use as I don't want larger quan***ies sitting around after I have opened the jug.
