It seems harder and harder to come across these kinds of finds. In my area I know enought older retired car guys how have the time to do the searching and its been a few years since I've heard of anyone pulling one out of a barn.

The last one I did hear of was a friend of my dad's about two to three years ago found an old lady in the twin cities area selling off her long dead husbands stuff. I guess it was advertised in the paper as an old Chevy (or something like that) 1500. Turns out it was a 60' Impala convert with a 348 in amazing shape, been sitting there for many years. Needed nothing but a good tune up and a cleaning. Wouldn't that be nice.

It may have something to do with the number of barns on the right coast.

  3. i believe that the west coast barns were tuned into habitat for the communal hippies and thus are now high end digs:rolleyes:

  4. its out there but the days of peple savin cars is shortinin up..
who today can afford to put away a non running daily driver . and then store for 20 years

... the save it mentality is going away with the blue hairs and bob barker....

80' hotrods are barn finds when they've been sitting in a barn for 20 plus years.I think that would qualify for a barn find.I know of a few more barns with goodies in them. Some old stuff, some muscle car stuff, some motorcycle stuff.I know a barn that has about a dozen old bikes in it from 1919-1970 all harleys and Indians but they are not for sale he rides most of them. There are alot of barns here and the people around here are pac rats.I know alot of 60 year old guys who still have there first cars

I still think the best Pennsylvania barn find was the 1930 Ford Sport Coupe about 4-5 years ago in Hummelstown durring Hershey week. Guys go in to the local Wal-Mart, check out gal asked if they are in town for the swap meet and would they be interested in the Sport Coupe she had? A block away from a "Famous" Hot Rod shop, they had it in their swap meet spot the next day, nice car.

  12. Pennsylvania has two towns named Easton. Are you in the eastern Easton or the western Easton?
