TX stash - projects mainly

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by original patina, May 30, 2009.

  1. What a great yard. Nice to hear that the owner has his wits about him too and realizes that he won't be able to build them all. Letting some go to build what he really wants, it's only common sense. Finally, a hoarding story with a happy ending. Thanks for posting.

Did you catch a price on that turquoise dodge pick up? Man that drive must have been worth it.

As the PMs trickle in guys, pass your number along if you don't mind. I'm starting a journal, copying all requests, and will call when I'm physically @ the location next as the owner is relaying prices. If there is a more efficient way - by all means speak up.

PM sent, thanks for the visit with pics!! Great people down there in Texas, sad we have lost so many car friends recently from there.

  7. Great shots, I love the early plymouth/dodge 2 door coupes. Especially that 58 Dodge 2 door HT?

Good luck to him. Seems that he's a big mopar/Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler buff.

  8. Wow! What else can ya say? Half of those cars look drivable as is!!! Amazing stash....tell the guy we all appreciate what he has done and that it comes from Hambers around the world. If only I could find them in that condition....

Looks like 4dr heaven. I wonder if the reason for all of the 4drs is that they are usually cheap or free in some cases. Nonetheless, it looks like a parts paradise.

Just off the phone with the property owner. Given all of the PMs so far, I'm heading back TODAY when he returns this afternoon. Wasn't time to talk much unfortunately as he was on his way out.

I did inquire about the '37 Plymouth coupe as it has garnished the most interest. Found that belongs to a friend, who became turned off to it not happy with shop work. Feeling he's into to for too much now, it was taken to this property and parked so he didn't have to see that daily reminder... Of course I'll pursue this later today.

Cleaned my camera's memory stick and charged batteries. Besides prices, if there are requests for specific pics/angles, inquiries on possible cars not seen (just as many '60s cars there I didn't even bother taking pics of), etc. - let me know by 2pm CST for answers this trip.

That's absolutely amazing. I would definitely like to see more shots of the ambulance if you're able to get them... Oh, and how much for the donkey?

Another fun scorching day in the TX sun avoiding giant ants, red wasps, mosquitoes, fresh donkey crap...

36 of you have inquired so far and all PMs/calls have been returned at this point. Finally time for more pics! There may be some repeats from yesterday. Trucks, '60s schtuff, and parts cars predominantly today. Still more I haven't seen (or can't friggin' find that are allegedly present!) including that additional 5 acre space loaded with Buicks (heavy on '53s and '56s). So what if most are 4 doors? The point is that a lifetime hoarder is in a selling mood. Take advantage and snap a parts car before this guy changes his mind. Already received a few "not for sale" responses today.

Moderators, thank you for letting some later '60s stuff slide. Given the breadth of what is here I left that small percentage in.

Today I learned that donkeys kill snakes.
