There's a '71 or '72 Travelall in the tenth pic, back on page one. I figure you saw it, just sayin'. Maybe it's one that's for sale?

And to the OP, thanks for putting this on the HAMB, it's a blast. Wish I lived closer to that gentleman, like neighbor close.

Someone posted on page 6 showing a photo of the M37 dodge power wagons and asking if they had oem beds... The M37 closests in the photo, with the utility box with tool compartments, well, that is the original bed. It is what the Army called the contact maintenance truck. It was not used as a weapons carrier but as a maintenance truck. I forget the
M series number. It is not M37, as that was the weapons carrier with the pick up type bed. I can tell you the M series military dodge contact maintenace truck is much rarer and somewhat more desireable to some who collect M series Dodge military Power Wagons.

mvdude that was me ask about the power wagons. their for my dad. yeah i know they were all by spec for the most part. but i was refering to a bed like a regular pu. i guess what your calling a weapons bed? i don't know much about them, my dad has always talked about owning one. he saw the pics today and said he's in depending on price. but from what it sounds like i'm sure it will be reasonable. thanks for the leason

Google M37 and you should find photos of standard M37's with the pick up bed. Also see the M37 site www.g741.org

this ones a Polara fer sure. Pheonix, Pioneer, and Seneca (all 3 are in the "Dart" series) did not have the big tail lights and the side trim/quarter panel is slightly different. I'm guessing you couldn't get a Polara with a six since it is the upscale Dodge for 1961. I have a 61 Dart Seneca. the ugliest car ever made.

that is quite a stash. he should charge admission. I just paid 15 bucks to see a show with fewer cars I'd shoot pics of than what this guy has. I could spend a couple days there. looks like a nice place to go camping.

    just ranting here.
it's great a stash like this comes to light with an owner who is willing to sell. how many times have we heard "nope i'm gona fix that up." only to watch it sit year to year. but this allso comes at the worst time. money is tight. finacialy i'd be an idiot to think about any of these. morally i know trying to hagel the old man into low ball offers would be an insult for some of the rare cars. but on the other hand regardless of all that my inner car guy will never forgive me if i don't pick up a few of these time capsels.

    now to flip the coin!
if this guy truly wants to save these cars, why let them sit there and rot?
yes he knows what he has and the prices are fair. but in these time who has the dough to throw down for what it's worth. imho he would move mor cars. ineffect saving them(selling to car guys). and make more money to fund the cars he keeps. so all are happy. if he just set a low set price for any thing. with the truely rare cars excluded. like say 1500 a piece. yes i know low ball. but look at like this. the hamb would clean him out a few weekends he would pocket over 100k to fund his personnel projects. and we all get new ones or trim, pannels, ect that are near impossible to find. the cars get saved, put back on the road. win! win!

if the prices are fair but no one can afford them. cause of hard times. then the cars sit and rot. he never touches them. this will probly be the one and only time he sells any thing. and the stupid kids will scrap what's left when the old mans gone. a real shame.
sorry just in a shitty mood needed to rant.

Reasonably certain that a high percentage of vehicles present are in similar condition to whenever acquired. Most possessing cancer had the tin worm disease before - having come from elsewhere. Had this stash been in the Midwest, you may have a valid point. They're not.

True, the economy has been better. Affordability is relative to what you can spare - not a reflection of anyone else. Most vehicles he has agreed to sell have been according to Old Cars Pricing Guide between 6+/5-. Pretty fair and unbiased. Make a lowball offer and you'll kindly be asked to leave. Waste of everyone's time - mine included. Every one of us can learn from Don as he is a wealth of information and experience. Can't ask for more than a mutually agreeable transaction with him where both sides are smiling.

Keep in mind he does not need to sell a single item. And he certainly does not need to be run ragged or cleaned out! How do you know he doesn't already have $100k stashed for his projects? Quite an irrelevant and trite assumption. Who among us likes losing money on projects? If Don wants to break even on a vehicle having purchased it when the economy was better, more power to him. No fault there. Quite a simple equation really.

Some within driving distance may have been looking for a cool new project or that hard to find parts car. Those HAMBers make assisting worth while! We'd all like to see as many of these back on the road as possible. :D

Keep the emails flowing (except asking for parts). I'm doing the very best I can on this end outside of my regular 9-5. Plan on heading back to take specific angled pics and more notes Sat - if a couple more locals want to accompany.

Need to call this evening to check Don's availability for tomorrow - wouldn't be until afternoon. If Sunday is better, I can inquire.

I made a 1300 mile overnight trip to get this old road tractor:

I'll probably make a 2000 mile round trip to get one of these cars (Maybe 2!! :^)

Driving distance is relevent. I got this one 5 miles from my house:

You buy them to drive, you can also drive to buy them!

OP, You're a hero. Helping Don and keeping the wolves at bay.
Its funny how every time they'res a story about the guy who's gonna restore em every gets chirpy about how wrong it is.
Now we have a gentleman who wants to sell and we hear smoke about how he should dispose of em. If you have that many cars and that many acres you arent hurtin. Go through OP and let it be what it is. If he makes a few bucks then he's smart.I think neither one's a biz. How much is the 68 torino dressed in maroon?
