Hot air balloons? It was interesting to see how much stuff 1 man can hang on to,the family should do well on the sale. Rob

The Model A I bought a while back wasn't an "over the ch***is" spring one, but it did have a very similar towing tongue on it. I think the old farmer used to pull mine behind a tractor and haul hay or something in it. Times were tough......

They hadn't got to the more complete cars but partial bodies and swiss cheese rusted hulks were at $800.00.I'd say 3 guys were buying 75% of the stuff.Who ever # 50 was and model t haven were the biggest bidders. They came with semi car haulers and 40 ft closed trailers.Tyndall is around 30 miles west of Yankton.

I spent 2 full days there- Prices were going rate no one got a deal. A coupes from $1600- $3750 ... Roadsters from $4000... 28-29 pheaton was around $3500... A sedans from $1300-3000 ... 23 T body went for $1200-
A trunk lids were $300+ for good one ... Junk ones were $200-
    A doors were $150-400ea...

The guy who got most the nice stuff was from Black Hills Antique Auto .. Another Clown from MO got the JUNK bodies..

I have about 30 pics I will post later..

It was cool to see all that tin in one spot!!!

We went out with a trailer and came home without much... We don't need another project. But if the price was right we were willing to buy... Like I said no one got a deal, I can buy those cars in MN for those prices...

There was supposed to be a 55 fairlane ragtop at auction, does anyone know what it went for? My brother was supposed to bid on it but didn't make it.

I had heard the stuff went for good money according to a couple of long time Model A guys. They didn't know much about the fellow who collected it or that he had that much stuff, said he kept to himself. Like they say, "Thar's GOLD in them hills!"
