Take your measurements and hit up a friendly parts counter person. I've had to do that when I mixed and matched rears and driveshafts in the past. Maybe Speedway could help you. Good luck! Bob
That sounds like the same u joint I ran in my truck for years. Do as Bobss396 said and go to the parts house you deal with and tell them you need a "conversion Joint'' with those dimensions. They are about double the price of a standard joint in either size most of the time though.
probably need a 353 x 369. Get some dial calipers on it. http://www.summitracing.com/search/.../Make/CHEVROLET/Model/S10-PICKUP/?Ns=Rank|Asc
Cgas, I do not have the number handy... poor memory. Just tell your local parts guy that you need a ujoint that will mate a 68 camaro ( I know, I know ot ) to a 78 camaro..... AW hell, I just looked it up online.. neapco 3-3130 is the adaptor joint you need.. = # 1-0153 ( early chevy, 1310 type ) to # 2-3011 (late chevy, 1330 type) Dave
****er 5-3022X 1310 series to GM 3R series. A good parts goober should be able to cross this number if able.
I had a "blow proof" conversion u-joint in my Nova stock car that had a 9" Lincoln rear in it. It was either a Lakewood or a Mr. Gasket. Guess what? It blowed up on me one night while leading the feature on the last lap! I wound up with a name-brand equivalent by matching it up out of a catalog at a parts house, it went the distance for 2 seasons. Bob
THAT'S not a U-joint problem. A U-joint problem is when you are standing by the highway 3/4 mile behind your car examining the U-joint.
I encountered one of those yesturday evening. Not mine thank gawd one of the fellas on the way to Joplin. About 15 minutes in the O'Reilly's cured it.
