P-38. Just the small one. They had 2 different sizes. Small and big. 2 small tanks, one under each wing is actually the most common. Make the worlds best BBQ out of it.
Was it for flotation purposes on the plane? Something neat could really be made out of that. What did you have in mind?
Id put that out it in the front lawn weld 4 rear fins on the bottom and paint it up like a warhead missile or the bomb from "JOE DIRT" Man how did they ever fit in the belly tank racers!! I would need 3 of them tanks welded ontop of each other to even come close to squeezing in them
The plane is to power it up with the running gear from a little 3 wheel ( Cushman style) warehouse truck that we s****ed at work. It’s air cooled 20 hp twin w a 3 speed and alum. rear. If that motors junk I will go with one of the Wisconsin V4’s that I have. A airplane seat cut down 40 wheel, ford style front-end and moon discs, all of it, I already have. It will spend time behind my coupe for fairground and pit cruising.

that would make a killer peddle car for the kids. or better yet sit on top of it like a go cart and ride it around the swap meets and shows..................
