As mentioned by a few, I think the car is pretty much perfect the way it sits. I do like the idea of the faux stainless roof though and I'd toss a set of wires on it. While I wouldn't shave the handles, I'd shave the lock cylinders.

After moving down to Florida from the Detroit area, I've come to appreciate a light colored car. And unless that color is off from the picture, I'd leave it the way it is. MAYBE fade the bottom a little. I also like the idea of leaving the stainless and emblems but removing the nameplates. Cadillacs are about the brightwork.

That's the beauty of bags, I could drop it in the weeds or drag ***, whatever grabs me at the moment.

fink'd, Believe me, I've thought about taking an inch and a half out since I bought it but I'm not sure the pay off would be worth it. Not to mention I've never chopped a car before!!!

Pretty much exactly what I want too, and the question in your last line lies the problem. Ideally I like earlier customs most but the car is too new by a few years.

They look a hell of a lot better straight forward and subtle. If it were mine I don't think I would do a thing except have a damned nice interior put in it and a set of proper Caddy wires. Leave the flake and that kind of paint for the rockabilly crowd an work on putting a cl***y timeless paint job on it that put a date stamp on when it was done. I've got who knows how many thousand photos of cars at car shows and rod runs and the ones that still look as great as they did 20, 30 or 40 years ago had straight forward single color or two tone paint jobs and wheel/tire combinations and stance that still look every bit as good today as they did then. There are hundreds of photos of cars in the batch that looked wild then but look pretty tacky now.
