  2. From the shape of the front fenders and the curve of the rear quarter glass it looks more like a Jaguar Mk IX than a RR. Just as hideous either way.

OK, as if the Rolls wasn't bad enough, here's another. I found this one on eBay a while back.

It's one of those rare eBay photos that's just weird enough to save. So, that's what I did...

  8. You really have to work hard to make something this ugly. The only thing worse would be if it was pristine and nicely painted.

Well, actually, there might be something worse: If it had a Mercedes grille... Oh wait, it DOES! I went digging through my old files, and sure enough, I finally found the front end shot. (If you haven't seen the rear view, go back a page... (For some reason, the multi-quote doesn't seem to be working.)

    Sorry, couldn't resist sharing.

Thats already been posted. Its an Aussy car and every piece was hand made from brass and chromed back in the 50's-60's. Yeah its ugly but its a bit of our heritage, the owner reckons' that all of the 'fittings' almost doubled the cars weight.............

  22. Whatever happened to that abortion of 33 Ford, Olds, and Mercedes parts anyways? Was someone able to cut himself enough pieces out of it to make a 3-window again?

WTF? Ugly is as Ugly does. this MIGHT have been an acceptable thing to do in the early seventies when nobody had any taste, but I don't care how nice you build it, if it looks like shit, it is shit. and the paint sucks. Definitely an ugly ass custom.

Sorry, I don't have too many details on this one, other than I remember finding it listed on eBay under "Parts Cars", and was astonished to see the photos the guy had on there... There were several other photos, but I suspect those were the only two I saved, as I can't find any others. I wish I had saved them all, as it's not everyday you see something like this.

My hunch is that someone bought it for scrap...

Dunno any more than that. Surely there is someone else out there who saw this thing when it was listed, which was only a little over a year ago.

  25. Heres one I got setting out in my field. I am not sure how it got there, but someone drug it in. it is on a four wheel drive willys frame and is all homemade. I think whoever built it needs a new hobby.

Good grief... I didn't think they came any uglier than that coupe/Olds/Mercedes thing that I posted, but it turns out I was wrong.

Thanks for posting! I think this puts you in the top contender spot for the Ugliest Submission award. I just sat here scrolling up and down, up and down, in utter amazement.

To think the guy who built this thing is probably still out there somewhere, thinking about his next project...

Looks like the photographers put thier brown paper bag clad Malt liquor behind the tire while they took the shot. Classic.
