If you think Canada is the east coast, then you are right. IT was built by The Guild of Automotive Restorers (or something like that). just north of Toronto. Google the above name.

I figured this would be a touchy subject.

    Back on task...

Yeah it's a Colorado car. It's one of the Jetters , can't remember which one though.

Wasn't it the old Tom Jones custom?

Yeah, it's a ColoRODO car...I know the owner personally...

Matter of fact, the car is a genuine 1960's survivor...built in Milwaukee in 1964...by one Don Gajdoz...an upholsterer by trade...it did the ISCA show circuit...finished 5th overall in standings in 1966...finished 8th overall in standing in 1967...

and...thru meticulous research, Tom Jones had NOTHING to do with the car...that's simply a "myth"...it came to ColoRODo in 1972 (Pueblo, actually)...languished around here for many years until I found it on a used car lot in Denver in 1984...I spent 6 1/2 years totally rebuilding the car...and it's been on the road ever since.

Now as far as it appearing in this thread...I don't mind a bit...opinions are like assholes...everyone has one...including Gary Minor (and it's a well known fact that he despises me...and that's OK as well...can't like everyone...I guess I can now count 133 as one of my detractors, too)...and yet...133 had to go to Salina, Kansas, from California, to shoot a pic of the car...do you shoot pictures of cars you don't like??? I don't...makes me wonder about 133...must be a "Minor" clone. The car (and me) have done many, many highway miles across this country for a lot of years and still turns heads where ever it goes...perhaps some guys are simply jealous of a true survivor and the fun I've had with the car...

Yet another one of Floyd Cotterpins contributions to the street rod community.

Calling Boyd Coddington a car builder is like calling Lorena Bobbit a Urologist.

    This car?

    http://www.carnut.com/show/05/kkoa/kkoa890.jpg

Heck, I actually thought it was pretty cool. Funky colors and needs the chrome back, but pretty neat if you ask me. I wouldn't have painted the windshield wipers though. ;)

But hey, we all know how opinions are..

Onionvillehaunt- that's fookin hilarious.. and tragic. I've always wondered what happens to the leftovers when someone puts shoebox ends on their Thunderchickens..
    Now we know.

Here's a double-ugly. I'm embarrassed that I ever wasted space on my memory card for a shot of this shitpile.

I think Evel Knievel could clear at least 6 buses if he used that roof for a launch ramp.

If you only knew how much mud is actually in that car, and how wavy it still is... What a waste of a nice '59.
Hopefully they've done some massive retuning on it, that 496ci "700hp" engine couldn't even burn the tires when they first got it on the road...

  19. Unfortunately having these two ladies in the picture doesn't help...still an ugly old kustom car!

LOL. I remember that car on eBay. I believe the seller got the car up to around $17,500, and it still needed a full interior.

That thing started out as a Plymouth Savoy, believe it or not. :D

    it it any old magazines??

It is amazing what you can learn on the HAMB........

    ???????????????????????????

One of the koolest birds in the country. Have you seen it in person??
If you did you would change your mind. Now, the before pictures are butt
ugly. The front & rear bumpers are off of an 80's model Camaro. David
Guymon saw the potential the car had.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick
