why do some customizers, and i use this term very loosely, seem to paint perfectly good chrome grills and bumpers and make the front end of these cars look like the face of some weird fish! the color scheme is all fucked up ,weird pinks and lavenders WTF,its bad enough we have lost great customs and stockers to the crusher and rusty grave yards but now we have to watch idiots mutilate perfectly good iron

This looks like an early sixties Kustom Rod to me, anyone have older pics of this car? Its pretty gross now but I can picture it in a candy purple or gold with chrome steelies and white walls, maybe a multi-carb Y-block and better looking pipes being pretty cool?..... I'm not so sure about that trunk lid!?!

The new version that's on ebay looks a lot like the old version. If I had to pick one I'd pick the old version. At least it had wheel covers then.

I always thought bubble-topped cars like this were pretty cool.....maybe not tasteful but still exciting.

Thats it. Its not a pretty car by any means, but thats not its point. Its that Tim doesnt give a damn what anyone thinks, and seems to get a kick out of making things as outragouse as he can, and then driving them all over. more power too him. He's a good guy.

I love these cars, the uglier the better. I wouldn't own 'em, but I love to see them!

I like this car - think it looks well proportioned and very traditional.

Hey you guys, be nice, I've got a lot of sanding time in on that car, that was over 40 years ago and my hands still hurt every time I see a picture of it.

    B:(B

  20. I think the car in original form shown here is kick ass and knowing how many hundreds of hours it must have took makes my hands hurt just thinkin about it.I find it cool that it is still around to this day.back then Im sure this was a very cutting edge car.

HEY The PopeMobile!!!! I saw that "thing" at Peterson's! There were some wild customs in the Hot Wheels exhibit that are fit for this thread.

That looks like a 52-54 Ford rear windsheild, being used in the front. Actually, some of that car might have been one at some point in time.

I actually own a car that had something like that done to it...

I was wondering how long I'd have to hang around HAMB before someone mentioned my favorite actress--Jessica Rabbit.

The black...thing, wouldn't look too horrible if the roof wasn't so horribly cut. The grill looks horrible, I mean, it looks like teeth (I assume, the look they were going for) but also looks like some horrible turbo plumbing hanging out of the front of the car.
