I have found out that it is a 1948 model. And that it MAY be ONE of LESS than TEN that were built by J.T. Cantrell .I need to find out more info about it .
Effin A, Maz...that's awesome. I was back in PA last month, and I noticed wood does seem to last longer than metal in that country! Maybe you should make the red Toy into a woodie (it could use the help!).
I NEVER said that we dont want it, and it is UGLY.......in a cool kind of way,and the price was RIGHT!!
mazdaslam, My be an ugly barn find as you say, but look at the yellow one Ralfs56 posted looks pretty good for an odd rod. BUILD IT!!!!!!!! Please put a SBC Chevy in and piss off the naysayers. There's a very good reason SBC Chevy's are so popular, there just plain kick ass good engines. You can run a SBC Chevy into the ground and it will still out run most of the other engines around. GO for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay cool Cruiser 49
My Dad had a '48 Power wagon when I was growing up. It was a Cantrall body, and was one of about 7 Power wagons with that body. You have something there. I don't know how to post a picture on here yet, but I can PM a picture if you want. Murph
That is a cool woodie. I would love to see you build it up. And from the pictures the condition seems to be really, really good. tok
I've always had a soft spot for Woodies. That is just way too cool. When it hits the streets it will be the center of attention where ever you go. And rare as well. J.
That is a really cool find, not the best looking woodie but still a really cool one. I have always liked wood bodied cars but I do teach wood shop. I also apparently need to move to where you live cause I couldnt drive a truck like that around here without getting pulled over by the inspection police. -Nick
My Dad was not in the Woody club. He unfortunately sold the truck about 19 years ago. I know who has it, and have been trying to get it back without any luck. Murph
