Like the grille, the fenders, and the body.. just not all on that one car.

 

Maybe you should look at the car a bit more. History IS NOT everything. Just because it was done "back in the glory days" doesn't give it p*** in the styling dept. My eye says it looks like a Facel Vega had *** with a Ford coupe and this is their mutant kid. Packards are history too, but it would be a lie to say the 48-50 Packards were stunning and gorgeous. Maybe from the rear 3/4 angle, but the front looks like a cross-eyed kid with a mouthful of gumballs. Yeah, even my personal favorite marque ****ed one up. To just blindly accept with open arms, everything done back then as perfect and beautiful, is just as bad as thinking everything has to be a Deuce hiboy or lay frame. This is of course my opinion. Didn't barris go thru an ugly customs phase? Show customs are kinda brutally ugly. But I guess they have a place, kinda maybe?

 

I like it, except for the shape of the windshield, which is really killing it and the front end below the grille. With a 36 Ford screen and surround back in it it would look a whole hell of a lot better.

A good discussion about someting a couple of people disagree on shouldn't cause all that...


For me personally, I hope this car will find the right owner who will give it a loving home.
And once its not on internet auction and cl***ifieds sites anymore, that might shield it some from people hurling insults at it...
