uk hotrodding history..way back in

  1. the late eighties to be exact...i was flicking through some of my back issues of Custom Car and came upon this article about the Famous (or should that be infamous )Low Flyers car club...infamous because if i remember rightly not a lot of people took to their low buck styling...these are the guys that were reputed to have started the so called `rat rod craze`...looking at the cars in the pictures (courtesy of Custom Car)they certainly would fit in at todays shows without any murmuring...the article that followed on the pages after this went onto try and find what had happened to the motors (the magazine is dated may `97)...i for one would like to know what happened to the pierson bros clone...any uk hambers at bruntingthorpe when these were taken?

    If you want to know more about the low Flyers ask Kev Elliot C/C mag editor as he is in the pic from Bruntingthorpe and should know the whereabouts of some of them.
