  1. Well you were only 30 miles from where we set off from.
Music? Wasn't there on the Sturday night, but with cars to natter about, pretty much anything could be playing. Or ignored.

Here's 4ever4 looking for that extra horsepower. Keep trying - it's in there somewhere. Put keep those fenders, if only for these thoughtful moments!

Tony Cardy's support truck. there's a pinto attatched to a 39 floor shift box under the bonnet using an A bell housing. Sorry - didn't get a picture of that!

And here's a couple of niceties from the pits and carpark.

On the Saturday afternoon I had a good look at the A roadster and there was a sign inside on the floor asking £12,000 (approx $21,000). It was very nice, but not that nice....
Don't remember seeing the '40 though....prolly too busy leaving Clark for dust :)

  6. From where we sat - dust wouldn't get through the gap between you two!

Talk about dragging (geddit) threads up from the depths.
Anyhoo, the 39 belongs to a mate of mine, Des Tonks. He lives local to me. He bought it from south Africa, got it on the road, then pulled the old running gear and replaced it with a chevy, th350, 9 inch and mII front end. He did a great job, and did it all in a single garage. It's a 39 deluxe and has a rumble seat, and the paint is as it was when he bought it.
    Mart.
