Not if it were me...then everyone would be talking about this idiot that has 37 cars stacked on eachother that he's letting rot behind his house, and he claims he'll fix 'em up one day.:D

600 acres is less than a mile square, you could walk the whole perimeter in an afternoon. Don't know why you would need a week to explore.... I call BS too.

  4. well like i said its in a remote location, it took them 5 days to get out there, im not saying that from where they started riding to where they got to the ranch is 600 acres. they could have had to cross 4 properties or something before they got his ranch. anyways, hes a honest guy ive known him for a while, he doesnt make***** up.

    There is a logical explanation...

The gold prospector hit a strike in early 32. He rode his pack mule to town to hire some miners...there was only one car dealer in town selling cars, fords...so he buys them out so the crew could drive back.

Then all the miners got rich and just left the cars there...or something..

Yikes, the back pedaling is getting bad - nice try, but your story is busted.

The barn find in Portugal is more credible. At least there are pictures. Why would there be 37 cars there in the first place?

Just a quick estimation... but I guess it is possible if the building is about 2700 square feet. 37 cars by approx 72 sq ft (per car) equals 2664 sq ft.

Do I believe it... no. I heard once not to believe anything I hear and only half of what I see... sound advice? :D

This just pegged the needle on my BS meter. File this one with the story about the $500 Corvette and other urban (or in this case, suburban) legends... :p

where's the photos. you can bet, if i had purchased some property, and went in on horseback to look at the said property for the first time, i would have taken a camera.

if in fact, this is true, i'll be the first to pony up the helicopter rental fee for my new 32 3 window. the car should be free to me, since the owner apparently doesn't think it is worth pursuing.

    i'm serious....

  11. haha. Its not my story son. Its going to make me laugh if this comes out and you negative nancies are bummed you dont get to ride in the helicopter basket, sitting in the rumble seat, hahaha

stupidest*****ing story I've ever heard, the only thing more stupid is repeating it.

  14. last year, in my own town, we had a barn find of over 200 european cars, not 15 minutes from my house. the guy had 4 metal buildings with tons of cars. Aston martins, jags, mercedes, opel, everything. I saw it with my own eyes, it was covered on the news too and that was 200. I dont doubt 37 cars for 1 second.

  15. oh come on guys, lets not get upset. Its a barn find story. If it happened, which i believe, its cool as*****, amazing even. If it didnt, then it doesnt matter. no need to get hostile.

The story is pure BS as is the one in your own town. Can't believe that guys are still posting these BS stories.

  18. Ive owned over 100 horses in my time still have one. Five days ride on a horse is between 100 and 300 miles depending on the condition of the horse and terrain. Im inclined to call a wild goose chase. Most remote places in Alaska have a air strip or a lake to land on. Nobody rides a horse for 10 days. A novice rider would be so saddle sore in one day that they would walk back the next:eek:. This story is more windy than a tornado!:p OldWolf

Started to write something clever, but the Mazooma Meter caused me to fall off my chair, and now I don't know what to say...

  26. There is a shred of truth in the story. There ARE old homesteads in Alaska that do not have road access. There are even complete ghost "towns" but most were part of the Gold rushes.

I don't like crow ! Ok so that one was real enough. Some old guy collected cars for years.

The Alaska one is definitely BS.

A stock 1932 Ford doesnt need a road, does it?

Just change the oil, file the points and drive it out...:D

  29. im just sayin ive seen barn finds of 200 cars in person, its very possible for there to be 37 early fords in one remote place, which wasnt always remote. Stop trying to disprove it on all the small details, i wasnt there, i cant swear to how far or how long or whatever, i just believe it exists...your missing the point. the point is the guy inherited a remote ranch with a barn that wasnt recorded, with a***** tons of model a's! thats cool!
