LOLOL, THATS RICH !!!! GOLDCHAINER !! HAHAHAHA!!!!!

Funny thing is all the Gold chainers around here run S/B Chevys.

Besides that, Almost any vintage engine is gonna cost alot to re~build... Just not all are as expensive as a Hemi for the initial purchse.

However, If you arent so damn much in a hurry, you can pick them up pretty cheap still.

In the last coulpe years i scored 2 331 Hemi Chryslers for around $200.00 each & one was packed full of vintage speed equipment.

I SAY LET THE GOLDCHAINERS HAVE THE S/B CHEVYS.......

HEMIS ARE BOAT ANCHORS.... PLEASE BUY CHEVYS !! :D

Let's not forget it has the ****** also. That can bring a buck or two also. I would say that's a great deal if the ****** and engine are good runners like mentioned.

You know what they say, "You wanna play ya gotta pay!"

I recently caught wind of a 426 HEMI short block locally for sale for $500. I have yet to follow up the lead, but if it exists I'm going to snap that up faster than I can say "That thing gotta Hemi?"

I also know of a guy here in town with 7 or 8 baby Hemis, all sizes and makes sitting on his side yard, but I have yet to get a price of of him. I'm trying to be tactful so I don't insult the guy, but I think I could score some of 'em pretty cheap.

Still some good deals to be had on the 331, 354, and all desoto hemis. Weirdly enough, I've seen Dodge hemis all over the map price-wise, some people think they're really powerful and desireable truck engines, others think those tiny cubes don't make em worth rebuilding.

My thoughts are..... given that cores are still a fraction of the rebuild price- 392 is the clear cut winner
