Great catch! I have tried about 10 products to try to remove the black streaks, but NOTHING has worked. Simple Green was the best of everything that I tried, but it also removed huge amounts of oxidized paint, took a great deal of work, and was only very marginally effective. AWESOME really is awesome, and very inexpensive compared to every other product! I found it at the local dollar store, not only in spray bottles, but 1/2 gal. refills. I use carb cleaner for wasps also , nuthin's better or faster , plus it doesn't smell as bad as the real bug killer spray . Oh yeah , brake fluid breaks up rust like nobody's business . Used it to free up a seized up engine in my buddys boat .

 

Not to mention paper toweling wrapped in duck tape makes a great band-aid !

 

Wrap a bondo spreader with sandpaper and use as a sanding block. This works wonders trying to get the small flats and imperfections out on high crown areas ( front & rear fender archs ).

 

Swimming pool acid will remove burned in parallel black rubber streaks on your friend's parent's driveway. It also makes the conrete bright white and his father will wonder what happened; and will not believe the story about cleaning up spilled oil.

Swimmming pool acid just diluted hydrochloric acid and if you mix it 25-33% in water it works great as rsut remover.

 

Had a radiator support break about 200 miles from home on a friends car...Fan ate the radiator up...man walks up and sees the water squirting out...walks over to store next door and gets a pack of hot dog buns...he keeps stuffing them in the tore up spot on the radiator till it stopped leaking out water...put the radiator cap on to the first click and we drove it home...radiator shop couldn't beleive it.......always carry a pack of buns on long trips.
