Unapproved Group Messages

I have 2 "unapproved group" messages under "your notifications"
Can't seem to figure out how to get to them or make them go away. Clicked on the notification portion and it just takes me to a social group with no help to get beyond.

 

Mine have been there since day 1 of the social groups creation. No way that I have figured out how to get rid of them and each time it's brought up no one else knows either.

 

Maybe the boss knows?
