It's like the Galileo, the shuttle from Star Trek. Hey, it was built by Gene Winfield (factoid) so it's traditional...ish. The inside was massive, room for 7 and an equipment room at the back. But it was about the size of a minivan. Still cooler than this T.

The situation with the frame is pretty interesting. It will be cool to learn the back story (aluminum frame, steel frame, etc.) if and when it comes to light. Personally, I dig the mystery that goes along with some of these old hot rods. I also love the dudes who keep coming back to the same thread to talk about how much the car sucks. I see their point though...wild show car painted by a living legend of our hobby...one of the most popular model kits of hot rodding's golden age...crazy back story...eccentric owner...Barris fisticuffs...and finding it pretty well preserved 50 years later...totally boring—who needs it.

More and more I think of it like this:

All of the above is "true"... and the Mona Lisa is also worth a BILLION DOLLARS! That doesn't happen without conflict and emotional stirring.

I typed "Mona Lisa is..." in the search bar. I actually don't get or care for the painting. Hahaha.

  7. The Mona Lisa's fame and related value is only relatively recent.
