Unfortunatly, i had to break down and buy the aftermarket steering arms because the original '40 arms hit the drop in the axle and really restricted the turning radius. Now with the new bolt-on arms i have a good turning radius but the tierod travels farther and made the interference between the tirerod and the crossmember worse. My solution was to trim the back portion of the crossmember and reconfigure the front engine vibration mount.

So, since I have a really hard time throwing away things, i hung onto the cut off '40 spindle arms. So with the combination of the original model A front mount, 40 arms, and a little cutting/welding/grinding. i had a new mount that clears everything. I thought it turned out kinda cool....

Great looking car MT. I too like the stance and like the steel wheels as well.

Best of luck with your project. I am sure it will be really cool when it is ready for the road.

bcchop, the Banger is the plan for now unless i stumble across a flatty v8 for a decent price, i could be persuaded easily!
Offset, thanks, The shoes on the car are my buddies, mine will be the same size tire but with 16" wires instead.. Still undecided whether to go with a whitewall or black??

I will not do white walls next time.
I plain to have black walls on steel 16s on my Tudor so then I can swap

    Yes all stock running gear.
I have almost all the parts for the 5 speed I just don't want to stop driving
it to do the work. When the tudor gets on the road then I will dig into the coupe.

I can't believe how solid it is for a NE Ohio car. Looking good.

One of the best looking sedans ive seen. Perfect stance wheel/tire combo. Neat idea on firewall color, really makes it pop. How does it ride? Does the tire hit the fenders ever?
