You guys are coming right along. I will not be able to make it over tonight. I got my rear rewelded last night and will be working to get it painted and reinstalled tonight.

Yeah, we definitely have to run these.

Last night was a blast. Lots of people doing lots of things and TieRods Chili was incredible. I've got some pictures from last night that I'll try to download tonight. I've got some houseguests tonight so there will be seven girls, two female dogs, and Larry, whose balls my wife had removed. I'm gonna need some sanctuary in the computer room.

    Thursday report.....
Last night was a blast, Tie rods chili was great and we all eat too damn much of it before going to work.
Got the motor and trans in the car, worked some on the fenders and wheel issues. The engine is wired and ready for a battery. Monza dude took the drive shaft to install a yoke and bring back sat morning . The brakes are bled and we are about ready to drop her on the ground and fire it up. Maybe a test drive report in two weeks max!
I think everyone concerned had a great time and we got some cleaning done on Tims engine etc. ( Thats another story later ).

This picture shows what its all about !! A group of pals having fun working oin a car !!!!!!!!:cool::cool:

The motor looks great sitting in there. Have you switched to a single four barrel or is that manifold just temporary.

Ya , we switched to a single holley with ram air cleaner just for the "Motorama". Our goal was to drive it it he World of Wheels Motorama section of the show.

Tight project but looks like we are going to make it .

Actually its is pretty damn scary how good this project really looks as you look it over. Rough ? ( you bet) functional ? ( you bet )
Its as the ghost of the car was built in 1965 and it wishes to remain there.

Got in a good day today. A 7:00 breakfast with grumpy,tom-o and mercduecman really helps. A little cheeze eggs and rasin toast get it all going!!
Monzadude, eagletucky, mike and lindross got going and we finished up a bunch of little stuff. Grumpy finished the lines for the clutch cylinder and after some bleeding and adjustment it works fine.
Dropped it on the ground and pushed it out side for a look.
The guys just couldnt resist add some gas, flip the switch and lets zing around the building. Sounds good and seems to work??? Yes the front tire have to go away!! Need a couple 14 inch radirs , hve the tire but our radirs for the front are 15 inch.

It's true! I've got two 15" Mickey Thompson Raders that I need to trade for two 14" Mickey Thompsons! I don't really care what bolt pattern they are since I will need to adapt them anyway. My 15's are GM 5x4.75 pattern. Any help???

i believe a deal is already in the works for a set of 14" raders. the raders are a must for this car. they give it "the look".

Last night was another good night with the bug getting closer to being done ( or at least done from our perspective).
El Terron ( Terry) trashed the final remains of what used to be a interior with mice living in it.
We then tried some trunk paint ( the stuff hides all) and it looks pretty good !
The crew arrived to a box of whitecastles ( makes a short evening:)) and masked the car off .
Lindross neighbor ( rusty) was the new guy of the evening and he sprayed the interior . Good jib rusty. The rest of the crew jumped in and lindross got the headlight wired thru a relay and working. maybe sat we can primer and mount the mustang radiator.
Good night guys had 13-14 people last night working on three projects at once .......:D:eek:

Those are some fine looking front wheels... Do I have Mr. Cooper to thank for that or did you manage to stretch those tires over the 15 inch rims!!!! Looks awesome. Can't wait to be back this week.

    SAT REPORT:

Got a little more done to the bug today. After a hot rod breakfaST WITH Tom-O, mercdueceman and Von Dust met up with lindross at the shop .
Lindross and Jake started on finishing the rear tail lamps and got that part done. Jake wanted to know why holding two wires together sparked and made him feel funny? ( he is 7 :))

I installed a fresh set of spark plugs and another carb (3310 Holley) and fixed a couple leaks etc. I had some temp pipes bent friday from 2 1/2 pipe and pluged in the exhaust pipes. Not bad fit for a temp job. (scoob has another friend that is going to make some zoomies for the car later after the car show)

Amazing how this little car has taken on a character of its own.

Should be able to get it over to Toms this week for some dash reconstruction. That swing set steering mount has got to go.!!:)
10 days to the Motorama Car Show at the fairgrounds.
Getting it done and we are ahead of schedule a little bit right now.

BTW we are making plans for our next wed evening project. Its a 49 Chevrolet 5 window truck on S10 ch***is with a chevy and mechanical Hilborn fuel injection . Stay tuned........

Yo Bubba, Old School engine cover with a "Popes Nose" plate light--
    NICE TOUCH.

How would you like to trade the engine cover for one like it, but with a nice rusted bullet hole in it.---to add that special west side touch:cool:
