By far the most pleasant experience I have EVER had purchasing a part off of any forum. Not only was he quick with his responses, and knowledgeable, but his carbs friggen ROCK! Ive been having an issue with my 40 flathead for close to a yr now. It would not run right, it would idle solid for a cpl mins then start loading up with fuel. When you would try to crack the throttle it would start sputtering and misfiring due to the fowled up plugs. I first thought it was a weak spark issue, started chasing that down. No fix. Now after over a year of night and weekends scratching my head guessing what I thought the problem was, I finally fixed it!!!! 2 new 97's from unclemax. He is the MAN! The 2 94 series I had on the motor initially, I purchased from someone here on the forums that said they were professionally rebuilt.... I think I got had, because they leaked from everywhere, there was fuel in places it shouldn't be and most of all they wouldn't let the motor run right! Anyway enough babbling! I just wanted to make a public thanks to UncleMax! The motor with my new 97's! WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!
Yes he is and he builds some nice carbs. Just like he said no leaks, and they perform great. Very happy! Thanks 54!
No hood or just the hood top looks cool. But I personally like the full hood look, with no fenders. Makes it look more like a complete truck.
