25 going on 26 in about a week..I've been into old cars since I was a little kid. I finally got my first project about this time last year, a 2 door '54 chevy. I plan on making her into a mild ass dragging kustom as soon as I get the money up for parts~
I'm 20 and I've got the '40 deluxe in my avatar... it's got a dressed up flathead in it. My dad told me to put a SBC or SBF in it but I told him to get bent. I've had it since I was 15 and it'll be driving in a couple months. I'm currently going to college and I live in a shop with my '29 A coupe that I've chopped 3". My uncle gave it to me as a graduation present, and he's going to come up to see me this weekend...he'll probably want it back after he sees what I've done with it! It'll get a flathead too...I've also got a '31 A sedan that I bought when I was 17, and a '59 ford wagon that I got from my other uncle...All you have to do is ask, I guess! I want to build a kustom sometime before I turn 30, and I'd like a '49-51 chevy fleetline, a shoebox ford, or a '54 chevy...but we'll see. Pinstriping helps pay the hospital bill for this disease! My dad says I can't bring another car home though until I'm done with at least 2 of 'em that I've already got, but I still tell him to get bent, and I figure I've got my whole life ahead of me to build cars (hopefully), so I might as well stock up as long as they're "cheap"....I've learned a lot already but I've only scratched the surface...!
I'm 26, been building a 28 "A" roadster with a 394 for about a year now, my brother in law PINSTRIPER40 got me into this traditional hot rod gig about 2 years ago and I never looked back. I love it! Before that I built a couple pure stocks and a modified from scratch, built the motors, etc. Bought a nice '70 chevelle the week I got home from Iraq, and lived in the shop PINSTRIPER now lives in for the first year and half after getting back state side. Nothing beats going to college, sucking up the GI bill while living in my shop building a hot rod. Now the Pinstriper and I share the shop. Thanks HAMBERs, it's good to see there are so many young hot rodders keeping it going.
i'm 29 have a 52 ford 2 door and a70 coup de ville my brothers are 27 with a 54 chevy 4 door and a 73 coup de ville and 23 with a 53 IH truck and 65 sedan de ville
I'm 29... better jump in here before I'm no longer under the cut off Here's my current cars... 36 Coupe, and 64 Rivi: Currently undergoing a drop front axle, posies springs, and Juice brakes
I'm 28 and have lots of projects1932 coupe, 1930 model A 1932 pickup and a lowrider pickup. my friends are into the import stuff too mostly mini trucks and mustangs but I am the only one realy into hot rodding. I try to get others involved but it seems to take too much time and know how to build a rod so I think they are turned off. It's not like you can just go down the street and buy a hot rod doner car for 500$ for a project. but you can find an S-10 for 500$. I just keep telling my self that this is prob the reason for this.
