Well i started undercoating the murray this weekend using the duplicolor paintable rubberized stuff and like all their other products... seems to be real shitty. It went on thin, shook it like mad for a good 5 min and it just crapped out little blobs of the solids in the can. And when i went to check to see how it was drying today.. since it was cold... it kind of had like a flaky finish. I would run my hand over it and the little balls of rubber kind of rubbed off eventhough it was completely dry. It was like the crap dried before it hit the surface. So i wanted to know what you guys use. Is the 3M stuff any better? Or Mar-Hyde?

  2. 3M makes a couple of good rubberized undercoatings. Keystone auto has a house brand that works just as well and is a lil cheaper.

I've never used undercoating. From what I've seen, mositure gets trapped behind it and it actually promotes rust.

unless i stand corrected 3m also makes a product known as body schults, it's a type of undercoat but it dries harder than reg undercoat and doesnt seem to be as much of a mess when exposed to oils either and by the way has a great texture.
