Hope Tyler got some sawzall practice....we might be having some fun next time he's in this neck of the woods...
Curious, I just wanted to say.....I FUCKIN HATE YOU GUYS! I love that body style ......you sons of bitches!
Is that not a couple of down home Samurai's in training? You did well Grasshopper....now to catch an arrow with your teeth!
Every time I turned around to load another blade Bullet-head was covering my tracks with the torch. I'm not a big fan of mini vans, but this Dodge Caravan worked great as a hauler. We cut up the car Went to the casino and didn't loose any money Watched Bubba and Big Daddy Alright play for New Years Drove all that crap back to Texas All things considered it was a great weekend. TZ
So Rashy was that premeditated? Can you get the needle in OK for 1st degree murder ( with mutilation)? Man you guys killed a perfectly good granny mobile.
I did the exact thing to a 60 Olds four door flat-top. Esxcept mine was a running, driving, even current registered, no rust car. I sold parts to many HAMB'ers who were fixing up two door cars, and others that needed parts. I kept the engine, trans and rearend for myself. That car helped keep many other coller cars on the road. BTW, I not only made my money back, but made profit and the parts I kept were free. Now for all the whining about taking one off the road, I could have did all the work the 60 Olds flat-top required, and in the end had a car worth half what I would invested in it. Four doors are basically donors, live with it.
I KNOW that's right! I have the power steering pump, brackets and box from your Olds in my shop! I will be using the exposed frame horns from this frame to figure out how to adapt that power gear box to Mama's 59.
Think that was bad? You guys should try working in a dragster shop. perfect steel bodied race car (which shall remain unnamed.) remove body with various impliments of destruction-most of which are pictured here (any of you guys ever used a craftsman twincutter? goes through sheetmetal like butter.) install body onto tube chassis, thus rendering it useless for anything other than strip racing ever again. basically a 2800 paperweight for 99 % of the rest of it's life. at least this monster will live on in several other cars.
Looks like everything went well. Sorry I wasn't in town to help. That would have been fun. I'm sure I will be invited to the re-assemble party... I've still got one pinky finger left Rashy! monkey
Don't worry though Bob, we are no where near putting you out of business. Rashy's back yard isn't nearly big enough.
Aw come-on Lux you can still drive it to the hot dawg stand. Ya know I would. Rashy I wish I could use some of the pieces off that old hooptie. Recycling is a good thing just ask any old hippy.
Hey Guys I might have been able to help you guys. Call me next time I'm good at tearing things up. Your underhaulin' reminds me of my friend that cut up a '65 Chevy 4door with 20k original miles. The car was mint. The guy that he was doing the work for was looking for a chassis for his old Buick and the '65 was the perfect donor. He took all sorts of crap about cutting up the car. Good luck on the project!! Happy Trails, Mick
Of course! I had a bad habit of taking them to the corner store for gatorade (it was a block away)...problem is, by the time you made it there and back, you needed to fill it up with gas. again.
I can't believe all of the worry warts! Boo Hoo! Ha Ha Ha I buy sawzall blades in the big contractor pack. I prefer the Milwaukee ones called "the torch" By the way, you WILL find a use for the roof when you have to fill a big hole and need a little bit of curve. Who needs an English wheel if you have a shed full of readily available curved pieces? Those wheels look familiar. Ha Ha Ha Lets see some pics of that El Camino homeboy!
I'm trying to find them a ride to the Outkast Christmas party this weekend. Be patient. Plowboy, I'm going to look for "the torch" whatever Rashy had didn't cooperate with me they kept breaking. Maybe it was the floor pinching from it's own weight every time I cut through a stressed member. rolleyes: Yes I said stressed member ) I kept using the same string of adjectives every time it happened. Now MarkX about that 40, I could use a corner piece out of the hood to make a patch panel for my 86 cutlas Maybe a roof piece so I can make a sunroof too.
It looks (looked?) like the red/flamed one from the original Mad Max movie. Same wheels and all. Shoulda cruised it with some corny injector stacks screwed down to the hood...
You guys crack me up, I cut up one elcamino (348 factory air car) and two 4 doors when I put that camino togeather the first time. I still have a really nice set of elcamino doors, Oh and I just cut up a 40 ford two door about a month ago so I guess I beat ya to that also. Now go get an Elky to cut up and listen to them cry then.
