Beautiful! Glad to hear you're mended, and making progress on the car. It's killer...

Christ. I leave for a few months to work on bikes instead and this place turns into a frat boy muscle fest.

Do what you want with the car, it's your car.

But please, for the love of god, stop posting any pictures of your biceps or how tough you are. Starting to feel like a bowflex commercial in here.

You know, your build doesn't bother me.... but the idea that you really think that while driving down the road it's A-OK to be in a car that you could call a "big sled" if it goes down concerns me. (I find myself thinking more and more like a dad every day.)

Guess I'm the "uncool" guy who has kids and worries that cars like yours will crash and kill them accidentally. lol

    Also, looks good.

Might I suggest not trying to whip so erratically though? Looks like you're getting a fair amount of undercut and inconsistancy all over the place. If you whip a little less you'll probably be able to get that more in control. Let the puddle wash itself out before you start pulling away from it.

thanks for all the compliments fellas. it helps motivate completion of this beast. i have decided to run a 6 lug rear in the back so a few slight mods will get me squared away. i want to be able to run the 1937 wheels that some one gave me.

also thank you to the fella with the ex-ray vision for inspecting my welds, i appreciate your concern. =)

i have a set of lower link bars already in the works. it may need em it may not, but not wanting to find out the hard way, i have already made the link bars, just have to make some mounting tabs. haha the more i dig the deeper it gets. but thats part of the fun right?

I've been looking for those photos I mentioned, still can't find 'em but know they are around someplace! The more I think about it, the more I am sure there was a shackle that pivoted at both the axle end and at the spring end. Due to the springs motion not being radial, but the axles motion will be radial with the links controlling that, I would guess that a single pivot point could bind, so a double pivot point would be necessary to completely eliminate binding, but you probably already thought that out. Just thought I'd mention that, just in case.

Glad you are back in the shop, feeling better, and working on it again.
