Unemployed? What have you done with the time off?

I've been unemployed for 11 years now. I think it's great. Do pretty much what I want, when I want. This is how life should be. If I'm standing in front of a machine now it's because I want to.

 

I haven't had a job since 1979. Got fired dec'79 and never looked back. It has been an interesting life not working to say the least. What have I been doing with no job? Well let's see...I've been raising kids, living with the wifey, traveling over 2 million miles pinstriping all over the USA, living with depression, pulling lines, going broke, starting businesses, building cars, more depression, making lots of money, losing lots of money, buying and selling stuff to pay for kids education, wondering what I'm doing with my life, selling my cars to pay for weddings and failures, starting another business, living the country life, dealing with Diabetes, depression again, still striping, painting stuff, and...basically dealing with life...but the best thing is...I have no stinkin' alarm clock!!!

So, my advice to all you who have lost jobs, just get up and do something, anything, that occupies your time and maybe you can live such an exciting life. Now go burn rubber!

My previous post is misleading and somewhat insulting to the people who have been laid off. I retired in 1998 with a pension, medical and an annuity. And no payments comming up. My appoligys.
