Selling my unfinished 51/52 Ford pickup project. The body etc is very rust free, there is a pinhole in the drivers floor board and another in the door skin. You would be very hard pressed to find another one this good. The cab has been chopped about 4 1/2 inches by a guy called Ben Price who is well known in GA for his quality work. Drip rails were also shaved. Rear window was kept original size at my request since the truck was intended to be a regular driver. There are two sets of grill teeth in great condition. Brand new running boards. Fenders and running boards have been blasted and painted in DP90 to keep the rust away. Cab currently has a couple of braces welded into it to stop it twisting while I was revisiting the way the cab mounted to the body. The body currently sits on a 2000 Ford explorer ch***is. I dismantled a 2000 top of the line Explorer with only 110,000 miles on it for the purpose. The track width is perfect and the wheelbase is only 2 inches off the 51 specs. The ch***is is all wheel drive and has the 5.0 full roller motor. These were the last vehicles to use this motor in the USA. The motor has a set of torque monster headers on it (which were $800 plus). The motor and drive train ran perfectly when last run in 2008. When purchased it had a bent axle in the back which I replaced. I also have a 90mm throttle body from a Ford Lightning that goes with this. I had a Kansas ***le for donor truck somewhere but I doubt I still have it. I have recently moved back to Australia and the truck sits in East Atlanta out the back of what used to be my motorcycle repair shop. New owners are running short of space.
