Customs Unfinished Business- '53 Pontiac 2-dr Project

Here's a good customer of mine's car. belongs to Buzz Bomb. I just did a V8 swap in it and repainted a ton of stuff on it including the roof and a bunch of interior pieces... Also re-did all the air ride and 4 link. Lays out nice!

been a long time. 1961. i bolted 58 v-8 in a 53 with 1956 standard trans in mine. didnt own a torch. clutch linkage was a green horns biggest problem. i tried for years to break the 56 trans on the dragstrip. it is MUCH stronger than the 55 back. old car ran 14s and drove to work every day. shame we are so far apart. still have car sitting back in the woods behind my house. ps shifter is easy to make just reverses the shift patteren. i could shift with any 4 speed out there at the time.

 

Sorry man! No updates except that I've just been pickin' up trim pieces here and there and bought a new tarp for it. Before I can really get going on this I have to get my Model A on the road. Then it's ON!

Hey man! I'm the one that sent you the message on Myspace awhile back on this car. Awesome work for sure! I've talked to BUZZ BOMB a couple times about his car and hopefully get to see it in person soon. It's really the inspiration for the build.
