i have a aftermarket unisteer cross steer question is ther a way to get more steering out of it.any help would be great 14148282062 thanks
If I understand you question, you are trying to decrease your turning radius, correct? In that case, sell the unisteer cross steer to a street rodder and then use a Vega box or draglink style setup. Or, you could shorten the steering arm on your knuckles so the knuckle rotates further for the same amount of tie rod travel, but that runs the risk of causing severe bumpsteer. With a Vega box or drag link, all you have to do is change the length of the pitman arm to increase or decrease turning radius. Good Luck
Do you have it attached to the outer hole on the right steering arm? It would turn farther if you used a special right tierod end, with an included tapered hole in the shank area, on the right side of the actual tierod tube. Your tierod from the steering box would then be attached to that, thus allowing the box to effectively operate on a shorter arm length. The outer hole on the right spindle would then remain unused. Might involve some shortening/tapping of both tierod tubes... But ultimately...I'd rather a regular box too!
Unisteer has some info somewhere on their website about getting the spindles to reach the stops. You may have to call them.
use the ......Jeep male female tie rod end ......on your tie rod , which will effectively give more lock to lock at the wheels
