I have done a lot of searching and would like pictures of the unisteer rack installed in an A with the so called jeep tie rod end in the application. Just trying to get a visual. Not looking for the pros and cons . Over thinking my build right now . Any pics of this set up appreciated. Thanks
I don't have a photo of that actual link in place. I have used it several times on a few projects. For the most part it works just fine. The Unisteer unit left me very disappointed. This was already installed in a Customers car. She said she couldn't relax and just drive the Car. Every movement made her Chase it and over 60 just didn't happen. It was tight and stiff for sure. I lubed everything and it helped. I inflated her Tires to 30 lbs. , that really helped! I noticed the actual Mount flexed a lot when static and it seemed excessive. This is with 6" centerlines and 5.5" tire contact patch. I made a gusset for the mount that was supplied with the Kit and took care of the flex. See photo. After doing the rest of the work it came in for I test drove the Coupe. O.M.G! Then I changed out the right side steering arm and changed the connection from the Bronco/Jeep connection, went with standard 2 eye arm changing the ratio some and drove it again. Not enough change to impress me and hardly noticed. I guess it get's down to what you like a Rod to drive like and good luck there. Bottom line for me is I don't expect steering brackets to flex around while driving the car. A good Gusset did fix that part.

That gusset mentioned above would a be a sound inclusion to add the required strength and minimise any bracket flex.
A friends car would not turn tight at all. He had to jockey it to get in his garage. I put on a Jeep end for him and it turns now. He had split wishbones and that was a problem. I had to section and offset the right one so it would clear the joint. I would never ever use one on anything I would build.
Don't understand what changing to a Jeep rod end would have to do with turn radi. but goint the other way had no effect on turn stop point at all on the Coupe I worked on. I'll admit I don't know everything. I will say this project had a 4 bar on it.
Since my car is a new build I didn't have a Vega frame mount. I extensively modified the Uni mount so that there is no interference with the radius rod on the left side. I'm still not totally happy with the turning radius but I hesitate to make a change that will increase steering effort by 25%.
