The seller that sold me this cap said it would fit my Mallory dual point dist. it doesnt! ..what does it if?
I tried it on my stock 322 dist and fits good but to low to run with stock rotor.
i really have no use for it, does it have any value..guy said it was nos with shelf wear. ive included pics for you to judge..

Could fit a older Mallory. What Mallory do you have a mallory YL or a YC ??
How a pic of the underside of the distributor cap.

I have a mechanical advance YC. this cap is slightly wider, not much than the Mallory unit and the ears that grasp the two clamps are much shorter. by the way. ill be runnig this mallory on a .030 over 322 with mild cam,401 rocker arms and 3 Stromberg 97. i opted for this since the stock unit runs off vacum davance. was it a good choice?

Notice on one cap it has an ear at the hold down, and the other has a slot in the ring around the bottom. You might be able to modify it?

that's exactly what i want to do..its a lil wider so ill start by removing the lip that sits inside the dist. then im going to fab up some clamps. i member here told me that this cap fits an Oakland V8 1930-1931.
