Just spotted this very unusual old custom for sale,it must have looked very stylish back in the day ! It's a '46 Alfa Romeo 6C2500 with Italian Pininfarina cabriolet coachwork which has had a Chevy? hardtop "welded" on ,Studebaker tail lites ,recessed licence plate recessed headlites , Corvette ? style dash etc etc. GM wire wheels .Guess it had a power transplant too. Interesting to see Italian coachbuilding style + American customising on the same car ! Anyone got old photos of it ? Very likely to have been in the old custom magazines ! Alfa Romeo early custom for sale ; http://www.anamera.com/en/detail/car/315710/index.html?no_cache=1&ret=139 There were several variations in Pininfarina coachwork ,but car below looks quite close to what custom originally looked like ; http://www.coys.co.uk/auction.php?itemID=3936
Interesting styling, but poor execution. Notice the big chunks of Bondo that chipped off the roof, and the tacked together panels revealed. I'd guess it was customized (recustomized?) in the late 50's judging by the dash and use of Bondo.
