Not that I've ever been suspected of looking at other men's posteriors, personally I think that shirt makes your butt look too wide;).

You placed your hands wrong, you're suppose place them on the thighs under the cheeks to lift the butt cheeks with your indexes.

Sorry my comment about a people’s choice award started a conflict.

My experience with showing cars was that the “official” judges often based the rankings on politics or who they liked. Judging by its nature is subjective as far as style and a points system often rewards excess. In the end does anyone’s opinion mean much other than the owner or builder who walks out into the garage and thinks; “that is cool”.

If you hear something is " controversial" it piques your curiosity /interest , that's what pays the bills . " Controversial" is a hyped up way of saying not usual . Ho Hum ...

For myself I have always regarded Pink to be one of the most obnoxious color on the planet but for some reason the black flames seem to tone down the pink. good job I like it, and besides it’s her car she can have it anyway she wants it

Too much black.........I think the shirt should be Pink with just a black inset. :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Notice the highlighting on the wheels to produce some definition. I think that improves the design. I had to wonder if the "Anthony" in the picture on the wall was seeing his future? :D

That's a sweet ride I'd drive and so would my niece, she's building a '70 c-10 got oil in her blood. I'd put bbig headlights on everything they make the car!

  19. OK, I gotta ask. I know I could not afford to have my car built by a professional shop, but if I won the Mega millions lottery and took my car to Johnson's Speed shop to have it built like that, what do you think it would cost? I always marvel at these AMBR contestants and can't imagine how much one would pay to have a pro shop build it. I am so cheap I buy used bread.

  20. This has needed to be said for a long time! Thank you.

  24. Don’t know what this particular roadster cost.
But it’s not a speedway kit with an engine.
If you win the lottery and want to win one of the big car show trophies, I’d budget at least that much.
Or buy similar equipment to build your own.

Nice '32 roadster, color not for me, I have never looked good in pink, but then I've never looked good in anything except a 34 3window hi-boy:D.

My ex boss,s AMBR winner was 1.6 million dollars. Some other cars of his that I had a hand in were between 200 k and a Million. A lot of money to spend on an ornament he doesn’t drive. Not my concern what someone spends to win a silly trophy. Stone chips are my trophies

It’s pretty easy to spend 60-80k in parts to build a 32 roadster, and that’s using a brookville body. If you don’t have time to search/find great speed parts at swaps and at buddies buddy’s garage stashes, it can get even pricier more quickly (look at some of the ads in the classifieds). Imagine now a time constraint where you pay what you need to pay to get certain parts, and you pay to have custom parts made, and voila…easy +250k with limited labour. Now add in every stainless part polished, every bit of chrome perfect and polished, every panel perfectly gapped, every bit of paint immaculate, every stitch perfectly aligned, every carpet seam aligned, every nut, bolt, screw perfectly clocked, AND then (just maybe) you have a big show contender.
All that time, effort, and money invested…..and then 99% of viewers look at your car and say “man that color sucks”.
My rational for building them for me and then driving the nuts off em. Or maybe I’m just too afraid of rejection (and too poor) to build a ‘show car’.
