Sometimes hot rod projects are three steps forward and two steps back. Well the last couple of days have been the two steps back...sort of. We've torn the Legion Special apart to metal-finish everything so Matt can show off his skills in the Seret Speed & Custom booth at the West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton next weekend. Come see it in person all ***embled on the 21st-23rd!
Wow, you guys have really made some progress! Looks greeat! The spelling of "meat and greet" is quite disturbing....as expected though, but I guess that's truth in advertising!
Whoa, my rainbow logo lives on!!! I can't wait to see the Legion Special finished as well as the new book. Coby was telling be about it at Bonneville and I was all ears dude. Everything looks tasty and it's almost a shame to cover it up with paint!!!
We learned that the entire car can pretty much be dis***embled in about an hour. I told Matt that if it ever screws me over on the road in the middle of nowhere, I'm going to take it completely apart and ****ter the pieces.
"This is going to be one long week!" Nope..........but it might be like shoving 10 lbs of **** into a 5 lb bag. good luck!!!
WEST COAST NATS!!! can't wait. only missed one since they started. got sick and didn't go in '05. where's the Seret Speed and Custom booth gonna be?
Where the HAMB Meat & Greet arrow is pointing - The Seret Speed & Custom booth. In the vendor row by the clock tower.
I cannot wait to see it! We're taking off for Pleasanton in one week and my car is looking to be in roughly the same shape.
Can't wait to see the final product- you two have done a fantastic job! I do have one thought though... I know that it will mean extra work, but please hear me out. The grille looks great until you get up close- if you were to redo the bars so that they are tacked on the inside of the grille frame (instead of at the edge), it will look 100% better. Here is a shot of Dan Webb's Golden Sub as an example of what I'm getting at: Make that one change and it will make all the difference- the rest of your work on the car deserves it.
I wish I was going to be in the bay area earlier I would love to help with the thrash to put it back together. I can hardly wait to see in person, my pants are already tight!
Word on the street is that FONZ calls ******** on the Legion. He's gonna be at Pleasenton ready to fight.
Wow, too cool!! This will make going to Pleasanton, only one daythis time, well worth it. Show is overloaded with belly ****on rides, but when others see the creative stuff like yours it inspires 'em to think outside the box...
Cant wait to see it finally in person. Matt has done one hell of a job on this car. Be nice to meet up with you and Matt finally. Kirk you going to be at Matts booth?
