What started off as a scuff and shoot at my buddies shop, turned into 2 weeks of work. The hideous roll pan is gone. We added the new panel on the rear. I had a set of original steel fenders that I blasted and cut graffiti style. We welded in a support rod and my buddy smoothed them with some bondo. We then shot the car with JD Blitz Black. I didn't like it but that's a whole other story. We mixed up some acrylic enamel with a flattening agent and got the look I was after.
i like it, those fenders or nice!!, haven't seen someone cut 'em like that in a while.......... those wheels are blinding though......gonna have to put on some shades ,haha....... wow, it looked like **** before, hahha, that was pretty blunt ,but damn, people need to know your rear wheels can be too,big,damn.........that pan is silly as hell to...... good job fixing it!!.....thumbs up.........
Cool brother, I dig the 60's street fighter feel I get from the pics. Congrats on saving another one from the pro-street billet monster. Drew
Nice improvement. Was the JD paint too shiney? The look it has now is '70's Hot Rod. Big-n-Little's really go well with your car.
Hey, you made big improvements on that one!! I've always preferred the bobbed rears on deuces like that. Good job!!
No, it was a nice satin. The look was fine. But the next day, I took my fingernail and lightly went over the paint and it left a mark that would not come off. I figured after a few months the car would look like ****. My painter showed me how he did a roll bar in a customers convertable with a gloss black and a flattener that was very durable and didn't scratch easily. I decided to let him do it. Thanks for all the compliments!!
Looks a LOT better........ Almost perfect now....... The roll pan ****ed........ Looks like a fun ride........ .
Looks a hell of a lot better now, great work on the rear roll pan. So when you gonna post pics of you smokin the hides? Jonney
Looks *****in' to me! Different, and different is good! If that shortened rear is a 9" Ford, I think you need to send it to me. C'mon...not like you need it anymore. Greg
